There's excitement around the office, as UK Meds has just been shortlisted for a further 3 awards, following a healthy win at the Family Business Awards towards the end of 2019.
The East Midlands Business Masters Awards is the regional sub-set of the Business Masters Awards 2020, which takes place across the UK, and finalists have now been announced.
Following a meeting at the offices of Cartwright Communications in the heart of Nottingham, the judging panel has put forward their shortlist. The panel consists of professionals from across the sector; Charlotte Perkins of Wilson Organisation, Helen Wathall of Wathall's, and Greg Simpson of Press for Attention PR.
As a proud family business with our roots well and truly in Nottingham, we're delighted to have been shortlisted for the Family Business category. Family is at the heart of everything we do, with our two directors being a father-and-son duo and a large part of our workforce being made up of friends and relatives.
UK Meds has also been announced as a finalist for the Small Business category. It's exciting for us that the size of our workforce does not reflect the size of our revenue or growth. Despite only operating with a 20-strong team, we finished our third business year with a turnover of £9m.
Having been crowned the Fastest Growing Family Business at the Family Business Awards, it's great to see that a nomination for the Fast Growth category completes our trio at the Business Masters Awards. As we continue to make bold business decisions and work hard to progress UK Meds to the next level, it will be great to see if that determination can win us another growth award.
Winners won't be revealed until the awards night though, which is set to be a glittering affair, hosted at the Crowne Plaza in Nottingham. Graham Mulholland of Mulholland Composites Group will be the guest speaker, and he'll be joined on the night by a crowd of almost 300 professionals and business owners. The prize-giving event will be on Thursday 12 March and tickets are available to book your place now.
